Wonderful Visit, Horrible Traveling

I was so happy to arrive finally in Orange County last Sat (Dec15). After my non-stop flight was cancelled, I was put on a flight through Dallas, which was delayed on the tarmac at O'Hare for an hour, which made me miss my connection, which made my luggage lag behind too. Oh well, I arrived very late Sat night, tired and with no toiletries--blech. When American Airlines delivered my bag (about 12 hours later--yeah!) I could clean up and finally get down to some seriously sister & niece time.

Franny spent the night with me, my first night at my folks. We built a "fort" in dad's office out of the futons.

We all hung out Sunday at Nan & Peter's for a little Chinese food. Of course, I had to give a massage to whoever wanted one. Franny was last on the sofa. She looks like she enjoyed it.


Li came up and was staying with mom & dad too. We had a regular sleep-over.

The flight home was just as long...American cancelled my reservation because it was "double booked." I waited stand-by and finally got a flight 5 hours later. Both going and coming home ended up being 12-hour travel times--normally a 4-5 hour jaunt. I sure hope I don't have to travel again for a long while....
