Merry Christmas, everyone!
It was a balmy 33 degrees Christmas morning, no snow--a first in many years! Kev and I took an early walk on the Prairie Path while the breadfast casserole was in the oven, and we got in the back door as the timer went off. No culinary burnt offerings today! And gone are the days when our boys would drag us out of bed at the light of dawn on Christmas morning. Those two late night sleepy-heads didn't emerge until 11:30am, when the aroma of pie and other goodies wafted up the stairs. So they ate breakfast at lunchtime, and we opened gifts around 1pm.

Kev is opening his gift of java from Matt ...ahhh!

Matt wore his scarf from Uncle Frank...our house is kinda chilly in late December.

Nate's more fascinated with his distorted reflection in the wrapping than with the cd. He is easily entertained...

Later Kev and Nate had a little jam session before dinner. Dinner, by the way, was bulgogi, a Korean dish (I like to make it either at Christmas or New Years), with rice and asparagus. And we had homemade maple bread, the usual pumpkin pie...and of course, Nate's favorite--strawberry jello!
