Signs of Spring

A sure sign of spring...the crocuses are popping out in the yard. Still cool at night, but today was bright, warm and breezy. Oh yeah! I pulled on the capris and slipped on my sandals. Kev raked out the flower beds and I trimmed some of the bushes and perennials to make way for the new growth.



Another sign of the vernal equinox...Kids outa school...Matt went to Palm Beach, FL for break this past week, (sorry no pics of his sunburned face). He drove down with three friends (25 hours crammed in a Honda Accord), but had the sense to get a plane ticket home and spare himself the grueling trip back.

It 's been Spring break for these two as well...which means neither family has seen much of them. Deb heads back down to Champaign today, and Nate can pine away...They went to see the musical "Wicked" yesterday, and said it was "great!"


Alas, yours truly has spring break for 3 weeks in April and May. Then it's back to the grind for the entire summer!

Btw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my brother-in-law, Ed--today he is 57, whoa!
